About Us

Dr. John Swaine & Associates is an innovative clinical practice that provides a wide range of
helping services to the public, including physicians, service agencies and their clients or patients.
Our staff are experienced, registered professionals from various mental health disciplines,
specialists in dealing with the difficulties of young people, adults and their families. We have been
screened by the police and child abuse registry for criminal or abusive backgrounds.

| ASSESSMENT: |
We can assess child, teen, young adult and family issues. Personality,
Psycho-educational, Vocational, Abuse Potential, Risk of Offending

COUNSELLING AND
PSYCHOTHERAPY: |
We provide counselling and psychotherapy for children, teens, adults and
families. Personal problems. emotional and behavioural problems,
relationship and identity problems, parenting issues, stress. Evening
appointments are sometimes available.

| GROUPS: |
Treatment and support groups are organized on an as need basis, or upon
request. Parenting, Teen Social Support, Anger Management, Teen
Offenders.

| SPECIAL POPULATIONS: |
We develop programs for special populations.
- Teen Sex Exploiter/Offender Program.
- Anger Management.
- Anger Management for Children and Teens.
- Anxiety and Stress Management Program.
- Victim Services Program.

| ABOUT COSTS: |
MSI does not cover the professional services of Dr. John Swaine &.
Associates, and payment will be expected for each service. Every
effort will be made to be sensitive to the financial limitations of
clients and agencies. The rate for services will vary, depending on the
service requested. Visa payments are accepted. Billing on a monthly
basis and contracts for services can be arranged under some
circumstances.
- If an appointment is cancelled within less than 24 hours of
the scheduled time, or if the client misses their appointment,
it may be billed.
- Treatment focused phone calls and requested reports will be
billed.

PRIVATE HEALTH
INSURANCE: |
Many EAP (Employee Assistance Plans) and private health insurance plans
cover part of our professional fees; you should check with your
insurance or employment benefit plan to see if full or partial
reimbursement is a possibility. Some health insurance plans will require a physician's referral.
