The Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia (APNS) is a voluntary professional organization established in 1965 to represent psychology in Nova Scotia.
APNS does not investigate complaints of unprofessional conduct or incompetence on the part of Registered
Psychologists. This is one of the roles of the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program serves tertiary and secondary mental health needs of Maritime children and youth
(to the age of 19) and their families. The Program provides learning opportunities for students, clerks and/or residents in pediatrics,
psychology, psychiatry, occupational therapy, social work and nursing.

The Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Youth Project is a group for youth 25 and under who, together, and with community assistance, provide support,
connection, and action opportunities to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered youth. The group is operated on a daily basis by the members
with advice from facilitators and community support.

Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP)
The Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology is the regulatory body for Psychologists in the province.
The Board determines eligibility for registration as a Psychologist. The Board has the power to investigate complaints
against Registered Psychologists and to reprimand, suspend or cancel registration for unprofessional conduct, incompetence or failure to comply with the legislation.
